最近は特に、行政・公共サービスにおけるテクノロージーの活用の社会的整合性や社会的意味合いに焦点をあてた研究をしています。 直近では、Government Information Quarterlyから出版された、政府向けの説明可能な人工知能 （Explainable AI: XAI） に関する共著論文があります。

この論文では、説明の種類が、市民がもつ、行政のアルゴリズム的決定に対する公平性・正確性・信頼性の認識に及ぼす影響を分析しています。

上記のテーマに加えて、その時々に重要だと思われる行政・公共ガバナンスに関するさまざまな問題について、折に触れて研究を行ってきています。最近では、過剰な組織的管轄意識等による組織間分断により、行政機関間の協働阻む問題に着目し、そういった問題の抑止を目指した取組みを意味する「whole-of-government」と「joined-up government」に関する研究のシステマティック文献レビューをPublic Administrationから出しています。
